Of course. Thanks for reading, April.
Do you ever get that feeling that maybe you’re following the wrong path?
Sometimes I wish Google Maps had a few choices for “TMM’s next steps” in life.
This week, I pondered…am I traveling the right direction in this thing called life? However, while driving three hours between two events, I had some time to process. During that time, I reminded myself that1) On my journey, I’m not competing with anyone but myself. I have a purpose. 2) Maybe my path seems lonely because I’m blazing a trail for others? Or, perhaps my perspective is skewed?Either way, I began to not worry about the road I’m on, but instead began to clear my mind and stay true to my why. The next day, I received the most positive feedback from a district which has adopted Be REAL as their theme this year. Wow! So humbling. Their response to the PD was unbelievable; to see the entire district of educators standing on their feet and cheering for the Be REAL message warmed my soul and reconnected my mind with my heart.
But, check this out…The image below is a sweet gift (sent from the district) that arrived at my hotel the night before. It spoke straight to my inner core!Wowzers! Right? A thoughtful gift and oh so timely.
Just know…
If you’re pressing forward in this thing called life with a pure heart and integrity, follow that path! Remember: we don’t create change by comparing ourselves with others, cheating the system, or demanding others to fit into OUR mold.People change when they are inspired to do so.
Season the world with YOUR why! Follow your own path and INSPIRE others to do the same.
I am an educator who values the individuality and uniqueness of others. Writing the blog R.E.A.L. is an outlet for me to pay it forward by sharing ideas, influences, lessons learned and exposing a little vulnerability while encouraging others to maximize their R.E.A.L. potential, as well.
